The Sprague Museum opened in 2005 & houses the history of Schools, CN Stations, Post Offices & Stores, Churches, Veterans, Forest Industries Sports, etc. etc.

and now has Four additional buildings with artifacts from the villages of the RM of Piney.

In the meantime, you're invited to the opening of our new Indigenous Exhibit on Saturday September 20 starting at 10 am. It's a day filled with drumming, fiddling and celebrating Metis and First Nations culture in our region.

We invite all residents to attend the Sprague & District Historical Museum Annual General Meeting on April 22, 2025 at 7 pm at the Sprague Hall. Learn about all the progress volunteers have made over the past year and exciting initiatives to come.

Did you know the Sprague Museum has many displays of past businesses in the area, from this barbershop to a train station ticket office to a post office. Open Saturday and Sunday every weekend from 1-5 pm. Free entry. Donations are gratefully accepted to maintain the 100% volunteer-run museum.

With gratitude for a season of great memories at the Sprague & District Historical Museum, we wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. Here's hoping you all have the opportunity to honour past traditions and make new ones.

We're excited to welcome visitors from far and wide to Sprague Fest today. In between all the other activities, we invite you to swing by the museum to see all the interesting artifacts. Open 1-5 pm on Saturday and Sunday. FREE entry with donations gratefully accepted to fund our operations.

If you want to learn about how our region was built around the logging industry, come visit the museum this weekend. We've got so many great photos and artifacts that tell the incredible story (just look at those mountains of logs as far as the eye can see).

The museum is open every Saturday and Sunday from 1-5 pm. It's free entry, with donations gratefully accepted to help fund our 100% volunteer-run organization. And feel free to bring along your lunch and use the picnic tables on our beautifully maintained grounds.
