STALL LAKE MINE HSH TRAIN
Stall Lake Mine made use of a dedicated High Speed Haulage system to move muck from #3 and #4 internal shafts to the Main Shaft where it was skipped to surface. This system utilized a diesel trammer (one of the first pieces of diesel equipment used underground in Snow Lake) that hauled several bottom-dump muck cars. The whole train travelled over the open dump on side wheels as the cars were emptied into the ore pass. We don’t know who the operator was in this picture, if you recognize him, please let us know.
