Hi everyone!

So I know it's been a while since I've posted here. This has been a crazy year for me, as I've been building a house and have had to switch my main career (2D animator) as the work has not been available. This has taken up a good deal of my time, so my fine art has taken a bit of a back seat recently.

That being said, I WILL be at the Perth Farmer's Market this coming Saturday! I will have some fine art, cards, and prints, so if you're still looking for a one-of-a-kind gift for your loved ones, or are trying to find some cards to send out for the holidays, please stop by and see if I have anything you'd like!

The market is open from 10am-3pm and is located in Perth at the Crystal Palace. I should be near one of the entrances :)

Good morning, everyone!

I will be part of a new event being held in Merrickville the last Thursday of every month from today to October 30th - the Merrickville Art Walk!

Live painting demonstrations from local artists will be happening around town, and today I will be at "All The Things", from 3pm - 7pm. If you're free, come out and see what I, and other amazing artists, will be creating! Everyone who is participating will also have some limited amounts of artwork available to sell, as well.

When it rains, it pours! :P

Here's another piece I completed recently, from an amazing photo reference provided by Lynn Smith.

This piece is inked on one side of a piece of Duralar and painted with acrylic paint on the reverse (similar to an 2d traditional animation cell painting), with a soft pastel background. The bluejay and foreground are lifted from the background, as a cell painting would be, which is why you see the shadow of the cell on the background. It gives the image a 3D nature and is the first in a series I hope to create over the next few months.

It's called, "Forest Call", is 8"x10" framed, and it is available for sale for $110.

I've been working hard on getting some more artwork done for the recent shows I've been in. Here are a couple that I've created recently.

They are both using reference from a FB group I'm a member of, using photos provided by some very talented photographers.

The reference photo of the ducks that I used was taken by Claire Horticulture Womersley.
The reference photo of the green finch that I used was taken by Richard Howieson.

I will be adding a woven frame to the finch, as well.

They are both painted on 8"x8" canvases, with a removeable woven frame (created by me). They are also both available for sale for $110.

I have plans to create more in this series and have already started a new piece (photos to follow)! The first of these series I posted photos of on here a while ago - the bluebird singing on the sunflower, "Singing in the Sun" (which is also still available for sale)

Good morning all!

Here is a piece that I had commissioned for a birthday present. I was asked to combine photos into a montage of their beautiful, sweet kitties.

I was told that I captured their unique personalities and that the person who received the gift was very happy with it :)

Hi everyone! This coming Saturday, you are all welcome to come out and see the new, pop-up art show on Carleton place! There are a good number of amazing artists participating, with everything from jewelry and sculpture to photography and paintings!

I have a single grid covered near the entrance to the gallery, and I will be there from around 2:30-3:30 or so. I hope I might see some of you out! 🥰

Time for an update!

I've been working on a number of commissions recently and would like to share them with you all here!

The first was commissioned for a future daughter-in-law's birthday and is of her horse and husky.

The second was commissioned by the person who commissioned the first! 😁 Which was very appreciated ❤️ it's an amalgamation of their two dogs.

They were both done using soft pastel pencils, 8"x10", matted and framed in 11"x14" frames.

I'm so glad the recipients of the gifts were happy with their pieces! 🥰

Hi everyone!

It's been a while since I've posted, since I was dealing with some personal issues and had a surgery done... But I'm back! 😁

I've taken on a couple commissions of late and am hoping to share those here in a little bit (once they are gifted!).

In the meantime, here's a sneak peak at the next piece up be working on for an upcoming show at the Carleton Place Art Hub!

The beautiful photo was provided by Rita Gallaway on another Facebook group - she was every so kind to let me use it as a reference for this artwork.

The sky blue eye on this albino horse is so intense!
