For decades, Roberta Olson / Keenawaii's Kitchen, has opened her home and her heart to guests, sharing the warmth, generosity, and traditions of Haida feasts.
Today, that tradition continues as a true family effort. Her son Jeff has taken over the cooking, carrying the knowledge forward; son Eric helps by catching the fish; daughter Deborah is busy cleaning and working behind the scenes; and countless other family members step in to serve, prepare, welcome, and do whatever needs to be done.
What happens at Keenawaii’s Kitchen is about so much more than a meal. It is family, culture, generosity, and generations of knowledge shared around the table. A beautiful tradition, kept alive by many hands, and a lifetime of love. Love this family!
