What an incredible celebration of youth creativity at the Art Expressions Exhibition opening reception at Lynnwood Arts!

We were thrilled to welcome students, families, teachers, and community members to celebrate the amazing artistic talent of high school students from the Grand Erie District School Board and the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board. The exhibition features an inspiring variety of artwork including paintings, sculptures, painted records, mixed media, and photography created by young artists across our region.

A special highlight of the afternoon was the fantastic live performance by the four-piece jazz band from Holy Trinity High School, whose music brought such wonderful energy to the gallery space.

We would also like to give a huge thank you to Barrel Restaurant for their very generous donation of delicious pizzas that helped make the event so welcoming and memorable for everyone who attended.

The Art Expressions Exhibition continues until June 20, and we invite the community to come out and experience the exhibition and support our youth artists!

Lynnwood Arts Gallery Hours:
Wednesdays–Fridays: 12 PM – 4 PM
Saturdays: 10 AM – 2 PM

Art Expressions proudly features the bold, brilliant, and deeply personal works of local high school students, each piece a reflection of their unique perspectives, passions, and voices. From paint to mixed media, to photography, this exhibition is a powerful testament to the creativity thriving in our youth.

But Art Expressions is more than just an exhibition. It’s a platform, one that empowers young artists to be seen, heard, and celebrated. The deadline to apply for the Norfolk Studio Tour is just around the corner—submissions are due April 30th!

The final weeks of the Ruralscapes exhibit are here!

There’s still time to experience this wonderful exhibition before it closes at the end of April. Part of the Lynnwood Arts permanent collection, the exhibit, curated by Matthew Ryan Smith, features works that explore rural landscapes and the quiet stories they hold. Ruralscapes invites you to slow down and take a closer look.

On display at the Lynnwood Arts Centre, the Starr Gallery and Sitting Room Gallery are open to the public on Thursdays and Fridays from 12 to 4 PM and Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM.
