Lynnwood Arts honours today, September 30th, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (Orange Shirt Day). We encourage our audiences to visit the nearby Woodland Cultural Centre and the former Mohawk Institute, a historical residential school right here in our backyards. This past weekend’s Norfolk Studio Tour was a great success!

The Norfolk Studio Tour begins TOMORROW!

𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟭𝟬:𝟬𝟬𝗮𝗺 - 𝟱:𝟬𝟬𝗽𝗺 & 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟳𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟭𝟬:𝟬𝟬𝗮𝗺 - 𝟰:𝟬𝟬𝗽𝗺 you can tour around Norfolk County visiting local artist studios where you can meet with talented creators, purchase locally-made artwork and enjoying Norfolk's beautiful scenery! Not sure where to start your tour route for the Norfolk Studio Tour Weekend? Interested in making some break stops along the way; washroom stop, coffee stop, lunch stop? Planning to focus on Norfolk’s local painters, potters, sculptors, or mixed media artists only? We can help you plan the perfect curated route!

Please join us at Lynnwood Arts for an evening of drop-in tour planning, where our Curator, Director, and local volunteers will help you plan the right route for a half-day, full-day, or entire weekend-long tour. There will also be pre-curated routes available both on our website (see link in bio), and in person during the Curated Routes Planning Evening if you’d rather work from suggested routes than plan your own.

Refreshments, printed maps, digital map support, and colouring pages for the kids will be available!

For this year's Norfolk Studio Tour, we are offering a few pre-curated routes. The last of these three routes is our "𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧 𝗧𝗢 𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧" Route.

𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘅𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲: 45 Minutes
𝗧𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲: Depends on how long you stay at each stop!

Meander from Port Dover to Port Rowan travelling through Norfolk's historic shoreline villages. With 𝟭𝟭 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 on this route, you will be able to view a variety of art forms and expressions. If you need a break, stop into 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸𝘆 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗿 for their “Dam Good Dog” and a 5oz glass of w**e for a NST-only price, or try a specially concocted feature item from Bonnie at the 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱.

For this year's Norfolk Studio Tour, we are offering a few pre-curated routes. The second of these three routes is our "𝗥𝗨𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗥𝗢𝗔𝗗𝗦" Route.

𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘅𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲: 25 Minutes
𝗧𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲: Depends on how long you stay at each stop!

This route takes you through some of the scenic country backroads of western Norfolk County, starting in Delhi and going southwest to Walsingham. On this route, you will see a variety of media forms: mixed media, painting, metal work and sculpture showcasing 𝟱 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀. You can stop into 𝗞𝗮𝘆 & 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗲’𝘀 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗘𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆 for a specially made NST feature item along the way.

For this year's Norfolk Studio Tour, we are offering a few pre-curated routes. The first of these three routes is our "𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗬 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗣" Route.

𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘅𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲: 45 Minutes

You will begin this route in the north end of Simcoe and travel through Waterford, Renton, Lynn Valley and then back into Simcoe's core. You will have the chance to visit 𝟴 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼𝘀 and see a wide range of media and creative works. On this route, you can stop into the 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 for 10% off the entire menu with mention of the NST, or even better, a special rate on the Tour of Italy while you reflect on the inspiring works of Norfolk's artists.
