𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽: 1785 Middleton N Walsingham Townline Rd, Delhi

Loretta works primarily in oil on canvas using vivid colour. Her paintings are based on nature and have a surreal quality but after recently becoming only partially sighted, she ventured briefly into acrylic black and white to express her blindness before returning to her previous style.

Loretta Dunnville has been painting for over fifty years and has shown in the Guelph, Toronto and Norfolk regions. She resides in Norfolk County.

Tiffany has a deep connection to nature and woman's issues and believes art can include an impactful message. She draws from generational trauma expressions in her pieces and would like to continue to push that envelope through pottery and sculpture.

Stephen enjoys making practical items from different varieties, and combinations of wood, including cake knives and cellphone speakers. I'm excited by the challenge of designing and building items I haven't tried before.

Stephen is a woodworker, located in Simcoe, Ontario. He was a stop on the Simcoe Studio Tour and has created tap handles for some local breweries.

Working in mixed media, I create layered paintings exploring memory, Indigenous identity, and healing. Each piece is built through a process of painting, scraping, and reconstruction, revealing themes of resilience, connection, and renewal.

Michael Barber is an artist of Mohawk descent based in Simcoe Ontario, and Artist-in-Residence at the Lynnwood Arts Centre. His work has been exhibited across Ontario, featured in First American Art Magazine, and is held in public and private collections throughout Canada and the United States.

I have been working with glass for 40+ years, creating fused and stained glass items for fun and function. I love bright colours and enjoy mixing colours and textures to create practical items such as dishes and fun items such as ornaments and mobiles.

I am fortunate to share my love of glass with participants in Norfolk and Haldimand Counties and throughout the area with workshops in fusing and stained glass. My studio is located in the beautiful hamlet of Port Ryerse, steps from Lake Erie.

My artwork is created using mainly wood and epoxy resin that is turned on a lathe and sometimes carved if I think the piece needs an extra touch added to it. Finishes are applied using acrylics, dyes, lacquers and airbrushing techniques.

I am a wood turner located in Port Dover. I have renovated an old barn on site and am now using it as my “Turning Corners Studio.” Several of my pieces have been recognized in the Golden Horseshoe Woodturners Guild competitions.

My art focuses on the repurposing, adaptive reuse and juxtaposition of materials, to add depth and meaning through layering. This year my art is focused on local themes, ‘my favourite things’, and ‘fun and games’, with the hope of bringing joy to others.

Melissa Stickl is a mixed media and collage artist based in Simcoe, ON and the ‘M’ of J & M Farm Studio. She is also an architect, shareholder and the director of architecture at G. Douglas Vallee (Vallee) in Simcoe, ON, a director with the Lynnwood Arts Centre Board of Management, and an aspiring flower farmer.

The Annual Norfolk Studio Tour will be taking place this year from September 26th - 27th (so mark your calendars!). This year, based on direct artist feedback, we've returned to a juried process for our artist selections. We introduced a variety of perspectives from previously exhibiting artists to art enthusiasts, board members and our new curator. Selections were extremely difficult with dozens of applications to review and incredible local talent from within Norfolk County.

This year's jury panel is excited to announce that there will be 26 participating artists across 18 studio stops!

Over the next month, we will be independently featuring each of these artists, their practice and an image of an artwork that will be available for purchase over the weekend of the NST! Keep your eyes peeled for the incredible talent our community has to offer and stay tuned for updates on upcoming events surrounding the tour, including a public opening reception, a family-friendly curated routes evening, high tea with Joy Bakery & Cafe in the NST exhibition space and more!
