The Art COOP Gallery
The Art COOP is a community art co-operative organization with a member-run gallery, promoting the creation of original art projects. We are a non-profit organization, governed by a volunteer board of directors with a storefront space located at 135B Water Street in the town of Shelburne on the south shore of Nova Scotia.
Our vision is to create a space that provides an opportunity for its member artists to interact with the public while working at the gallery. Through bringing this group enterprise to fruition we are creating opportunities for artistic collaboration and creativity, and providing public outreach. We see ourselves as a group of working artists who are helping each other learn.
The Art COOP Gallery will highlight member artist’s work in solo and group shows throughout the year. Eventually, in the quieter winter months, we will also host workshops, art events and collaborative projects with other Nova Scotia art organizations and individuals.
