Wow! The Gallery looks Great!

The new art is all hung for the September exhibition. This month, we have an exhibition of the members of a local group of artists called "Art Shediac". Each one has a unique style and genre. Should be a fun show!

Also on exhibition is the work of our Featured Artist of the Month, Brenda Smyth.

Stop by anytime of course, but it you want a chance to meet the artists ... come to the Vernissage on Friday, September 4th from 5:00pm - 7:00pm.

The Shediac Art Gallery is open EVERY weekend (closed Mondays and Tuesdays) - year round. It's always changing and there is always something new to see.

Waouh ! La galerie est magnifique !

Toutes les nouvelles œuvres sont accrochées pour l'exposition de septembre. Ce mois-ci, nous présentons une exposition des membres du collectif d'artistes locaux « Art Shediac ». Chacun possède un style et un genre uniques. Ce sera une exposition passionnante !

Vous pourrez également admirer les œuvres de notre artiste du mois, Brenda Smyth.

N'hésitez pas à passer nous voir, bien sûr, mais si vous souhaitez rencontrer les artistes, venez au vernissage le vendredi 4 septembre de 17 h à 19 h.

La galerie d'art de Shediac est ouverte tous les week-ends (fermée les lundis et mardis) – toute l'année. L'exposition est en constante évolution et il y a toujours quelque chose de nouveau à découvrir.

ANOTHER GREAT REASON to visit the Shediac Art Gallery during the month of September is ... the fact that our Featured Artist, Brenda Smyth has generously donated one of her paintings, this one entitled "Happy Dancing" to be won as a prize! 🎉 🤩

All visitors to the gallery during September 2026 can fill out a free ballot for a chance to win. The draw for the winner will take place on Septembr 30th.

"Happy Dancing" is a vivid exploration where color and form converge in a restless rhythm. Layers of pinks, blues, reds, and oranges collide and overlap against a textured white ground, their edges softened yet charged with energy. Black scribbles weave through these vibrant blocks like fragmented whispers, while precise white dots trace subtle paths—small constellations that guide the eye across the canvas. The work holds a tension between structure and spontaneity, as if caught in a fleeting moment of joy that’s both playful and elusive. In creating this piece, the artist sought to conjure a space where color moves freely, inviting a quiet dance that feels at once intimate and enigmatically alive.

Une autre excellente raison de visiter la galerie d'art de Shediac en septembre : notre artiste invitée, Brenda Smyth, a généreusement fait don de l'une de ses toiles, intitulée « Happy Dancing », à gagner ! 🎉 🤩

Tous les visiteurs de la galerie en septembre 2026 peuvent participer gratuitement au tirage au sort. Le tirage aura lieu le 30 septembre.

« Happy Dancing » est une exploration vibrante où couleurs et formes convergent dans un rythme effréné. Des couches de roses, de bleus, de rouges et d'oranges s'entrechoquent et se superposent sur un fond blanc texturé, leurs contours adoucis mais chargés d'énergie. Des gribouillis noirs se faufilent à travers ces aplats vibrants comme des murmures fragmentés, tandis que des points blancs précis tracent des chemins subtils – de petites constellations qui guident le regard sur la toile. L'œuvre crée une tension entre structure et spontanéité, comme saisie dans un instant de joie fugace, à la fois ludique et insaisissable. En créant cette œuvre, l'artiste a cherché à évoquer un espace où la couleur circule librement, invitant à une danse silencieuse, à la fois intime et d'une vitalité énigmatique.

The Shediac Art Gallery welcomes artist Clarence Robichaud to our little gallery.

Clarence Robichaud is a highly skilled realism painter who has been quietly painting beautiful works for many many years. Clarence paints from the heart, and prefers to paint both nature and western themes.

This month he has brought us 2 of his paintings; a beautiful horse painting that he calls "Mama's Boy" and a nature scene entitled "Deer in the Woods". We look forward to seeing more of his work during the October exhibition where we will be showcasing many fall themed landscapes for our "New Brunswick in the Fall" exhibition.

La galerie d'art de Shediac est heureuse d'accueillir l'artiste Clarence Robichaud dans sa galerie.

Clarence Robichaud est un peintre réaliste de grand talent qui, depuis de nombreuses années, crée discrètement de magnifiques œuvres. Il peint avec passion et affectionne particulièrement les thèmes de la nature et de l'Ouest américain.

Ce mois-ci, il nous présente deux de ses toiles : une superbe peinture de cheval intitulée « Le fils à sa maman » et une scène de nature intitulée « Cerfs dans les bois ». Nous avons hâte de découvrir davantage de ses œuvres lors de l'exposition d'octobre, où nous mettrons à l'honneur de nombreux paysages d'automne dans le cadre de notre exposition « Le Nouveau-Brunswick en automne ».

Artist Mélanie Rondeau is certainly popular today! Her fluid art Acadian Flag paintings are flying off the walls today.

L'artiste Mélanie Rondeau est assurément très populaire aujourd'hui ! Ses peintures fluides représentant le drapeau acadien se vendent comme des petits pains.

Trois de ses toiles ont été vendues aujourd'hui. Juste à temps pour la fête nationale de l'Acadie demain. (Ne vous inquiétez pas, il nous en reste encore… pour le moment.)

Summer fun continues at the Shediac Art Gallery! Some of our local artists have put their creativity onto canvas with everything from Acadian food representations to liesure activities. Come and see what we have in store!

The Shediac Art Gallery is located at 59 Chemin Ohio, Shediac, NB.
From Moncton: Take Hwy 15E, Keep right toward Hwy 15E Rtr-15E/Parlee Beach/Port Elgin. (Take Exit 37) this will become Ohio Road.
