Art on the Hall is an annual outdoor exhibition of three 4x8' murals hung on the outside of Mahon Hall from April — September. This year, we are seeking proposals for murals that are inspired by our relationship with the natural environment and/or the importance of conservation. Applicants may explore themes such as local landscapes, ecosystems or species, ecological interconnectedness, and the vital role of stewardship in preserving our natural world.

Contract Opportunity: Show Manager for Parallel Art Show 2025

Since 2015, the Parallel Art Show has showcased and celebrated Southern Gulf Islands artists with an exhibition and a series of awards. The 2025/26 Parallel Art Show (PAS) will be held at ArtSpring on Salt Spring Island this fall - September 27 through to October 19, 2025

To support this popular event, the Salt Spring National Art Prize Society is seeking a contract Show Manager.

The Show Manager is responsible for the smooth operations of the PAS gallery and the safety of all gallery attendees and volunteers, ensuring a friendly and welcoming experience for all visitors. The Show Manager will manage art and catalogue sales, track visitors and respond to general inquiries.

The Show Manager will also work directly with the Salt Spring National Art Prize (SSNAP) Operations Manager, hanging crew and volunteer coordinator in order to ensure the exhibition runs smoothly.
