R. J. Haney Heritage Village & Museum Discover the Heritage Village, Museum, Children's Museum, and Sprig of Heather restaurant from mid-May to mid-Sept. Archives are by appointment. R.J.

Your admission includes daily activities, a guided tour of Haney House, the Museum, and nature trail access. Haney Heritage Village is located on 40 acres of pioneer Shuswap farmland, home to the Salmon Arm Museum, Ernie Doe Archives Room, a 12 acre Heritage Village and gift shop. The Sprig of Heather restaurant serves daily lunch specials or can cater your special event. We boost 2.34 km of nature trails and Villains and Vittles Dinner Theatre in July and August. We are a unique venue for your wedding, special event or family reunion. We are located next to the Salmon Arm Camping Resort, just south of the junction of the Trans Canada and 97B Highways east of Salmon Arm. Haney needs YOU! Become a "Friend of R.J. 👻 There’s a reason we call it the Spook Trail.

First, you have to make it through the Fraser Avenue Haunted House, where something sinister lurks in the shadows, creatures peer from doorways, and unexpected sounds come from places you may not want to investigate too closely.

Make it through the house, and the Spook Trail is waiting.

Enter through the fog and eerie lights of the Tunnel of Doom and follow the

Spook Trail through the trees.

Somewhere ahead, a chainsaw is revving.

Fog lingers around the pirate ship. Lost souls have gathered at the zombie campground. Witches, trolls, ghouls and other haunts are waiting along the way.

Want it a little less scary? Go early while there is still some daylight.

🎃 Have you experienced R.J. Haney Heritage Village & Museum after dark?

For two nights, the Heritage Village transforms for the 28th Annual Spooktacular, with Halloween fun for all ages.

Come early and make a night of it. Follow the Pumpkin Patch Path, play for candy at the Hocus Pocus Midway, hear Halloween stories inside Mt. Ida Church, visit the Mystical Fortune Teller and Menacing Mad Scientist, grab something to eat and warm up around the campfire.

Then watch what happens as the sun goes down.

Jack-o’-lanterns glow along the paths, shadows stretch between the buildings, and strange characters begin appearing in unexpected places.

That’s when Spooktacular gets a whole lot scarier.

Cross the Bridge of Last Hope, brave the Fraser Avenue Haunted House, and head into the trees for the Spook Trail, where spooks wait in the darkness.

Come early. Stay after dark. Choose your level of spooky.

During Spooktacular, Mt. Ida Church gets a Halloween transformation of its own.

Step inside, find a seat in one of the old wooden pews and settle in for a good Halloween tale. Our storyteller shares stories suitable for all ages continuously throughout the evening, so you can drop in whenever you like.

It’s the perfect place to take a break from exploring before heading back outside to see what else is waiting in the Village.

During Spooktacular, the Heritage Village you know begins to change as the sun goes down.

The historic buildings glow against the night sky. Halloween displays fill the windows. Strange characters appear in unexpected places, and there is always something else waiting around the next corner.

Cross the Bridge of Last Hope and wander Main Street. Look in the windows, explore the displays, have your fortune told by the Mystical Fortune Teller and stop to capture a Haney Halloween memory on your phone.

Take your time.

Because the darker it gets, the more interesting the Village becomes.

The journey to the scarier side of Spooktacular begins at the Fraser Avenue Haunted House, where live spooks lurk in the shadows, creatures peer from doorways, and unexpected sounds come from places you may not want to investigate too closely.

And making it through the Haunted House doesn't mean you're finished.
The Spook Trail is still waiting.

Come early if you prefer your Halloween on the not-so-scary side.

🎃 Come early and start your Spooktacular adventure!

Before darkness falls over the Heritage Village, we keep the scares family-friendly for our younger ghosts and ghouls.

Enter the Pumpkin Patch Path beneath the Halloween arch and follow the path through the trees, with games, riddles, pumpkins and Halloween characters to discover along the way.

Then keep exploring.

Play for candy at the Hocus Pocus Midway, make a Halloween craft, see what the Menacing Mad Scientist is up to, or step inside Mt. Ida Church and settle into one of the old wooden pews for a Halloween story.

There is no set route at Spooktacular. Grab something to eat, warm up around the campfire and discover Halloween throughout the Heritage Village at your own pace.

And don't forget to come in costume!

🎃 Spooktacular is back!

As dusk falls over R.J. Haney Heritage Village & Museum, jack-o’-lanterns begin to glow, shadows stretch between the historic buildings, and strange characters start appearing in unexpected places.

On October 24 & 25, our 12-acre Heritage Village will be transformed for two nights of Halloween fun at the 28th Annual Spooktacular.

Come early and make a night of it. Follow the Pumpkin Patch Path, play for candy at the Hocus Pocus Midway, make a Halloween craft, hear a story in Mt. Ida Church, visit the Mystical Fortune Teller and Menacing Mad Scientist, explore Halloween displays throughout the Village, grab something to eat and warm up around the campfire.

But keep an eye on the sky.

As darkness falls, the spooks come out.

Cross the Bridge of Last Hope, brave the Fraser Avenue Haunted House and head down the Spook Trail, where live spooks are waiting in the darkness.

One more weekend. One more chance to wander.

Our regular season at R.J. Haney Heritage Village & Museum comes to a close on September 26.

If you have been meaning to visit, come spend these last days of the season exploring the Heritage Village, Museum Gallery, Children's Museum, Haney House and forest trails.

Or make it simple. Come for lunch at the Sprig of Heather Restaurant. If you're joining us just for lunch, pick up a complimentary visitor's pass at the entrance. There is no admission charge to dine at the restaurant.

Thank you to everyone who has walked through our gates, shared a meal, attended an event, brought family and friends, and made Haney part of your year.

Will we see you for one more visit before the season ends?
