Another exciting week at the NBBHS Heritage Centre!
We had the pleasure of welcoming participants from Key Industries for a guided tour exploring the rich history and contributions of Black New Brunswickers.
We were also honored to host members of the newly elected Council of Southern Victoria & Carleton North, including NBBHS Acting President Joe Gee, for a guided tour of the Heritage Centre. Participants had the opportunity to learn more about the Underground Railroad and the annual Tomlinson Lake Hike to Freedom.
The hike, which has been held annually for over a decade, honors the courageous journey of Black freedom seekers through the Underground Railroad. This year's hike will take place on October 3rd.
NBBHS is organizing bus transportation from Saint John to Perth-Andover and back. See the attached event poster for more details, or contact us at [email protected] or 506-214-2316.
Thank you to all participants for the interest and engagement!
