David Roche and Marlena Blavin bring their experience as performers, mentors and storytelling coaches to this playful, powerful workshop. They will define and hold a safe and encouraging space for you to share your story with ease
All levels of experience are welcome – from beginners with stage fright to professional performers and storytellers. The flexible design allows us to tailor the experience to your expressed needs.
Participants learn not only by telling stories but also through modeling, coaching, and listening to others telling stories and receiving coaching .
DAVID ROCHE has told his stories across the U.S. and Canada, from New Zealand to Moscow, including at the White House, the Kennedy Center, and the Sydney and Vancouver Olympics Arts Festivals. A coach and director for many years, he’s a master at finding and enhancing universal appeal in a personal story.
MARLENA BLAVIN has done storytelling coaching for several years in BC. She is a professional speaker and performance storyteller and a founder of the Circle of Women performance storytelling group, in addition to having a thriving decades long practice in the healing arts. Marlena is developer and co-author of “Love at Second Sight,” the program on appearance, disability and diversity that she and David have presented at scores of schools across Canada and the US.
