Amos Seaman School Museum

Amos Seaman School Museum Affiliated with the Minudie Heritage Association and a proud member of the Nova Scotia Association of Museums

Built in the early 1840s by Amos "King" Seaman and officially closed in 1962 the Minudie School House transformed into the Amos Seaman School Museum in 1973 and is one of the oldest one room schools left in Nova Scotia.

Come join us at Minudie Heritage Association Office & Archives
(2730 Barronsfield Road - River Hebert)
on Saturday January 24th from 1-4pm

We are honoured to welcome,
"CASSIE BURBINE"
a recent graduate of Dalhousie University
Department of Information Science & Current Archivist at
Formac Lorimer Books to discuss her Master Thesis.

Her work explores the challenges of facing deindustrialized rural communities, the collapse of coal mining in Nova Scotia and the importance of understanding where you come from.
