“Come in to our Museum and see…”
This 1903 Re*****on shotgun made for WWII. Although they were made nearly 40 years before the war, due to a shortage of M1 Garands Re*****on was contracted to resume production. This was owned by Daniel Duke originally, who then gave it to his nephew David duke, who donated to the Museum.
Point of note, all fi****ms in the Museum are permanently inoperable.

“This and other information in the Museum Archives is accessible by appointment “
Near the end of May, 1935 fire started in the Jones & Co. Warehouse at 2:30 am from an unknown source. This fire would spread rapidly east of the warehouse, engulfing several additional buildings. Every structure between the warehouse and the corner were destroyed. Marvin Becker’s watch repair shop, Jones & Co Stock and fixtures, and C.C. Letroy’s Implements shop were just some of the buildings destroyed in this blaze. This had been the first major fire since 1923, and resulted in around $15,000 in damages. Accounting for inflation, a conservative estimate of what these damages would have cost today is just under $350,000 when all the business loses are taken together. “Come in to our Museum and see…”
This Evary Mich Logging Hook! These were used to maneuver whole tree trunks using lever action. The Hook would be slammed into the trunk and the metal head would be pressed against it and used for leverage.

“This and other information in the Museum Archives is accessible by appointment “
On May 20, 1954 Rodney Platt was wading across part of the Blindman river, nearby the farm of Donald Rimbey. However the current swept him away and down the icy river. Luckily his calls for helps were heard, and while Donald Rimbey went to get a boat, Ed Stearn jumped into the river, swimming after the boy. He found Rodney clinging to a willow branch, and kept him above water for over a half an hour before rescue arrived in the form of a boat, getting both out of the water. Rodney went into shock and suffered from some minor exposure, but after a quick hospital visit he was ok.
