Western Wagon & Wood

Western Wagon & Wood Custom made western style barn board picture frames, furniture and decor. Log items, and anything else we can think of. It does depend on size and style wanted.

Some of you have asked me for pricing, here ya go. But to give you an example of price ranges:

Single 5x7 print standard frame = $30.00 to $40.00
Multiple 5x7 print standrd frame = $65.00 to $100.00
Single 8x10 print standard frame = $60.00 to $80.00
Single 11x14 print standard frame = $60.00 to 90.00

Larger size will have to be quoted on. Custom sizes available (ie 7 x12) got to approx size

for cost (8x10). Standard frame includes - wood, glass for a frame, hanging hardware and putting it all together. Non standard frames would include items like: lichen wood, additions such as inlays (leather or cow hair etc), brands or wood burning, etc. With all my frames, I use old weathered wood (backing is new). Could be from a barn, fence or grainery. I do NOT stain cut ends. I will cover them with other weathered wood. I try and leave knots, holes and shingle tacks as part of the frame whenever possible. All my frames are numbered and photographed. If you ever want another one to match, all you have to do is ask and quote the number on the back of the frame. Any furnature or other decor items that I do, I try, whenever possible to use reclaimed wood. Old timbers or recycled lumber. It just has a much better grain and patina. As i do more items I will add them on here. Thank you for all that have looked and liked. Let me know if have questions or are wanting an quote or item.

I was asked to make a recipe box for a wedding. Each family was suppose to send or bring a family recipe for the new couple. Pretty cool idea, I think. So here is what I made up for them. With a very truthful statement in the lid. Weekend was this past Saturday and was much fun.

WW&W once again made and sponsored the Agribition Teamster of the Year Award. This year it went (And well deserved) to Gordon Frentz of Grand Prairie, Alberta. Gordon travels a long way to come play at Agribition. He participates with his team in the community and surrounding areas.

Congratulations Gordon. The award is hung in his house with pride.

I show my finished products that I make but there is a lot of prework that is done. not only does a person have to collect the barn board but then it needs to be cleaned of nails and stacked. That is what happened today, a full day, inside tho lol

First pictures are if the coral fences and the last ones the finished product.

Happy with the results, some great wood there. Stay tuned.πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ

So what does Fall mean to WW&W?? Its Barn Board collecting time. Time to restock the shed for projects in the coming year. The wood will be taken apart, clean of nails and stacked in the shed. Thank you to Colleen for reaching out to me with the coral boards. There is some great wood in there. 2 loads this fall with more next year. Stay tuned, some of the cribbed 2x6's that I got will be used in the shop bathroom for trim. I'm excited to get that done.

More to gather, but a good start.

So a week ago I was asked, by Agribition, if I could make up a frame (short notice) for Miss Rodeo Agribition, Abbey Harty, winning Miss Rodeo Canada at CFR 51. I absolutely said yes, It would be an honour, I would get one made. Well, here ya go. Top picture is Abbey winning MRA 2025 and bottom picture is her winning MRC 2026. The backing in the frame is hair on cow hide. Thank you to Randy for the quick lazer work on the leather.

Agribition had a gathering last night to congratulate her winning (Most well deserved) and they gave her the frame which I am told she loved.

Congratulations Abbey, I am sure you will have a year to remember. I'm sure we will see you around Agribition this year.
