The Morrin Centre is a nationally recognized heritage site and leading English-language cultural centre located in the heart of historic Old Quebec City. Built over 200 years ago as one of the city’s first jails, it now houses one of the world’s most beautiful libraries. Next week, the Morrin Centre team will be welcoming the Festival de cinéma de la ville de Québec (FCVQ) in our heritage building for some of their activities!

After a summer full of experiments, crafts, and books, it is now time for our Book Quest summer reading program to take a vacation.

Over eight weeks of activities, Book Quest participants read a wide range of books, learned about secret investigator tools (from fingerprint analysis to invisible ink!), and flexed their investigative muscles through mystery books, puzzles, and challenges.

Thank you to Alyson, our 2026 Book Quest coordinator, for her superb work this summer!

Après un été rempli d'expériences, de bricolages et de livres, il est maintenant temps pour notre programme de lecture estival Book Quest de prendre des vacances.

Au cours de huit semaines d'activités, les enfants participant au programme Book Quest ont lu de nombreux livres, découvert des outils d'enquête (de l'analyse des empreintes digitales à l'utilisation d'encre invisible!) et pratiqué leurs talents de détective avec des livres à mystères, des puzzles et des défis.
