Today marks the official 60th anniversary of the change of the ensign to the current Canadian flag.

Although this change was before my time, Google indicates that the change happened to increase the flag's visibility and mark the sovereignty of Canada as a nation.

I am very curious though. What does this change mean to all the Canadians reading this? Are you someone who lived through the change and if so, what memories do you have?

Hey Everyone!

I'm on the subject of draws and drawings. It's been a while since I've done a draw and I'm hoping to make this a regular theme in the new year. I've been doing quite a bit of drawing though. Here's some of my drawings from 2024.

Each one of these was done in person without the use of photographic reference material in a technique called "urban sketching". I enjoy this method because it strengthens my ability to observe, retain and reproduce what I see as best as possible; which I think is the best way to learn. I also love the movement and authenticity that's in urban sketching.

Apart from drawings, I will be posting a draw soon for one of my prints. Please don't miss this and get the chance to win a beautiful work of art. I'll keep you posted!
