🎶🚌 THE BUS IS HERE! Portage talent is taking the stage! 🇨🇦🎸

Exciting things are happening at Fort la Reine Museum today! 🤩

We’re thrilled to welcome local singer/songwriter Shawn Pallister and the Northern Echoes team to the Fort!

Shawn has been selected to be part of Northern Echoes, a music series presented by Amazon Music that showcases talented artists from rural Canada. As part of the series, Shawn will perform an original song in a location that holds special meaning to her — and she chose Fort la Reine Museum! ❤️

Today, the team has arrived with their bus, which is travelling across Canada as part of the series, to film Shawn’s performance right outside our front gates! 🚌🎶

We’re honoured that Shawn chose the museum to celebrate local history, community, and what makes our corner of Manitoba so unique and special. 🌾

We love seeing local talent shine, and we can’t wait to see Shawn’s performance featured in Northern Echoes!

UPDATE: We found the kitty a new home. Thank you everyone that reached out. We have the best community!

🐱 HELP US FIND THIS SWEET LITTLE KITTEN A HOME! 🐱

We found this little one on the highway just outside the Fort la Reine Museum. We’re guessing it's only about 6–8 weeks old. ❤️

As much as we’d LOVE to have a new kitty for Bob to keep him company, we have a big event coming up and unfortunately just don’t have the time or resources to give this little kitten the care they need right now.

So we’re hoping our amazing community can help! 🐾

Do you, or someone you know, have room in your heart and home for a sweet little kitten? 🥹❤️

🎃🍂 HAPPY OCTOBER! 🍂🎃

The spooky season is officially here, and we’re only 3 WEEKS AWAY FROM FRIGHT AT THE MUSEUM! 👻😱

As we get the Fort ready for our biggest Halloween event yet, we’re looking for pumpkins to help decorate the site and add a little extra Halloween magic!

🎃 Have pumpkins you’d be willing to donate? We would LOVE to hear from you!

Every little bit helps us transform the museum into a spooktacular Halloween experience for everyone!
