Although there were many boats launched from Wards Brook, including the Marshall Foch, made famous by Zane Grey as the “Fisherman”, this was the last one. I remember the Boat Launch in 1990. I did not go down to the beach but I remember the Dowes (Larry and Ikey) pulling the Boast along the road in front of our home. Both men have passed. Larry before his time, May they rest in peace.
