We hope you're all enjoying Port Days!

We won some appreciated funds for the society in the competition today!

Just a reminder that the museum is still open today, despite all the festivities happening in the community park.

Stop by if you're looking for a quieter way to enjoy the day!

This pickup truck has been broken down in the museum parking lot for several days.

We are asking the owner to please come and retrieve the vehicle as soon as possible.

As we are now in our busy summer season, every parking space is needed.
The parking lot is shared by both the Museum and Visitor Information Centre, and we need to keep spaces available for residents and visitors.

If you know who this truck belongs to, please help us by sharing this post or reaching out with any information that may help us locate the owner.

Thank you for your cooperation and assistance!

Who remembers “Mexican Tom”?

Tom moved here in the early 1950s with the BC Forest Service and played a huge role in building our highway north to Masset.

As we work on getting his revolver and holster transferred and displayed at the museum, we’ll be able to share more of Tom’s exciting story!

A huge shoutout and thank you to Susan, who reached out to us wanting her father’s revolver to come back to its origins.

Hello from the Port Clements Museum!

We’re excited to reconnect with our local community.

Our museum tells the story of Port Clements and the people who’ve shaped this place—from the early logging days to life along the Yakoun River today.

We’ll be sharing photos, stories, local history, and upcoming events here, so if you love Port Clements and its past, give us a follow and stay tuned!

If you’ve got photos, artifacts, or memories you’d like to share, we’d love to hear from you—drop by the museum or send us a message.

See you there!

Oh dear... someone left their black cane / walking stick leaning up against the long wooden table at the museum, probably on Tuesday evening, November 18, when Archie Stocker was a special guest at the museum. Call Brigid at 250-557-4252 (just leave a message) and I will come down and retrieve it for you. Or stop by Saturday or Sunday between 2 and 4 p.m. when we're open.
