Muskoka isn’t all play, some of us have to work! 👷‍♂️

With September in full swing, we’re taking a look back at the workers who helped build the Muskoka we know today.

Butchers, maids, rail workers, nurses, cooks, labourers and countless others, worked hard to make Muskoka a place where people could live, work and raise their families. And while some jobs may have changed, Muskoka still runs on the people who work here.

So we want to hear from you: What did your parents, grandparents or great grandparents do for work in Muskoka? Share it in the comments! 👇

Sometimes it’s nice to get a moment to yourself up here. 💭

Never underestimate what a quiet day on the lake can do for one’s well-being. Here’s some folks from years past who thought similarly (even if there might’ve been someone just out of frame).

Note these are from 1890s-1930s.
