Plum Coulee Elevator Museum is a unique venue that has transformed a fading prairie icon into a vibrant centre, promoting culture and preserving the past.

In the past decade almost all of the wooden grain elevators in the Pembina Valley have disappeared. In 2002, Plum Coulee was very fortunate to procure one of the last elevators constructed in this manner through the generous support of Agricore United. This wooden grain elevator has been transformed into an amazing museum you absolutely have to see! The Prairie View Elevator Museum is a unique and

exciting venue that has transformed a fading prairie icon into a vibrant centre preserving the past and promoting education.

The museum is open and ready for visitors!🍇This weekend is Plum Fest and we will be open for extended hours. Friday - 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Saturday - open during breakfast , closed during parade until 11am, then open until 8 p.m. Sunday - open after the church. Join us for coffee, cookies, and visiting on Sunday afternoon 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Plum Fest is happening August 15 - 17. Our museum will be open all weekend: Friday (10am - 8pm), Saturday (open during breakfast; closed for the parade until 11am and then open until 8pm) and Sunday open after church. Join us for coffee, cookies and visiting on Sunday afternoon (2-4pm)!

Step into history at our local museum! We've recently added new stairs for easier access and unveiled a collection of historical photos you won't want to miss! This Plum Fest we will be open for extended hours so you can explore more of our community's rich past! HOURS: Tuesday-Saturday 10am-4pm Admission by donation.

On July 9, 2025, a group of 9 ladies came to the Plum Coulee Elevator Museum for a tour. Their connection to each other was that they were all in the Home Economics Degree program at the University of Manitoba in 1963-1966.
Every year this group of ladies, who now live in Florida, BC, Ontario, Nova Scotia, Alberta and Manitoba get together for a reunion.
This year they chose to visit the Plum Coulee Elevator Museum during their reunion. They really enjoyed the tour but were super excited when one of the ladies, Judy Raine Morning Star, found a sewing book that she had written and published.
Pictures were taken to remember this highlight of their reunion of 2025.

Did you know Plum Coulee used to have a marching band in 1950? The PC brass band held several concerts and participated in local fairs. The uniforms had grey pants, a grey hat with gold and red trim and a red and gold cape. A highlight of the band was the Saturday night concerts at the railroad station and became an important social event.
