Kootenai Brown Historical Park We are open 5 days a week, 10 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. Join us on the boardwalks chronicling our past. Bus tours welcome!

Tour 38 authentic heritage buildings and join us for our special events! We are a heritage museum helping you experience how the western Canadian frontier shaped Pincher Creek in becoming the third oldest surviving settlement on the southwestern corner of the prairies. The Country Store features unique and handcrafted products. Everything in the store is created here in Southwest Alberta or sustainably sourced. Stop in and see our large selection of merchandise. Join us for a number of exciting heritage events throughout the year including Canada Day, and Pincher Creek's Largest Cookie Sale. School groups are encouraged to ask about our educational programs. Engage in a guided tour of the Village or a historical walking tour of the community. Getting married or hosting a party or reunion? Kootenai Brown Pioneer Village's unique setting can make your event memorable. Purchase a treasure in The Country Store or research your community's or family history in our archives or through our genealogy club.

The fall colours around Kootenai Brown Historical Park have been absolutely beautiful, and we hope you’ve enjoyed them as much as we have! ❤️ There’s something special about this time of year, and we’re soaking up every last bit of golden beauty before the weather turns and winter begins to make its appearance.

A quick reminder that we’ll be closed for Thanksgiving weekend and will reopen on Tuesday, October 13.

☀️ What a beautiful afternoon at Kootenai Brown Historical Park!

Blue skies, perfect weather, and the incredible music of Connie Kaldor made for a truly memorable concert. 🎶❤️

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out, filled the Chautauqua Stage area, sang along, laughed, and gave Connie such a warm and enthusiastic round of applause. Your support and energy made the afternoon extra special!

We’re also grateful to Heritage Acres Farm Museum for collaborating with us to bring this wonderful concert to our community. It was a pleasure working together to make the afternoon happen!

Our 10th Annual Spooky Town is creeping up fast! 🕷️🕸️

On October 31 from 1–4 PM, the grounds of Kootenai Brown Historical Park will be swarming with scores of little ghosts, goblins, witches and trick-or-treaters looking for treats! 🍬🍫

🎃 LOCAL BUSINESSES — WANT TO JOIN THE FUN?

You can adopt one of our historic buildings and help bring it to life for Halloween! Decorate the front door of your building, then hand out treats to the hundreds of children who come to celebrate Spooky Town with us!

It’s a fun way to get your business involved, meet local families, and become part of our 10th annual Halloween tradition!

The main museum entrance will be closed on Sunday. Please enter through Gate 1, located near the caboose.

🎟️ Tickets are available online on our website and at the door.
Please note: Door sales are CASH ONLY.

If you already have your tickets, just head to Gate 1 and we’ll see you there!
