SPEND YOUR SUMMER IN PETTY HARBOUR!

The Petty Harbour-Maddox Cove Community Museum is hiring for the 2026 summer season!

We are looking for museum interpretors to work from June 29 to August 21, 2026 (8 weeks, 35 hours per week). Hourly rate is $17.40 per hour and weekend work is required.

Interpretors will greet visitors, provide historical background and offer guided tours of the museum. They will record visitor information, facilitate and inventory donations. Interpretors will also be responsible for opening and closing the museum each day and to do light maintenance around the building.

These positions are open to mature individuals who are able to work under minimum supervision. Applicants should be at ease with public speaking and offering general information regarding the area around Petty Harbour-Maddox Cove. Ideally applicants should have an interest and/or experience in history/heritage.
Applicants must be between 15 and 30 years old at the start of the job, a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred and have a valid social insurance number.

The AGM of the Petty Harbour Maddox Cove Museum Heritage Committee will take place today Sunday May 25 from 2 to 4 pm at the recreation centre.

We are a small but active committee that is always looking for new members who are interested in the town's history and heritage. We look forward to seeing you there!
