Happy New Year! Today we have some Lowe Studio photos of buildings that were new in their respective years: the Post Office (Federal Building) in 1957; Westburne Industries in 1975 and the mini mall (now Service Ontario) in 1980.

That wraps up another successful final fiesta!!🥳👍 With face painting, balloon animals, pin the tail on the donkey, minute to win it games, potato sack races, PIZZA and CAKE!!🍕🍰 The kids had an absolute blast!!!

Thank you again to everyone who came out to celebrate the unveiling of our new name and logo!

And with that change comes a social media makeover. We have created a new page - Upper Ottawa Valley Heritage Centre (UOVHC) - where we will be posting from now on. The UOVHC page is where you will be able to find news about our programs and events, updates about the museum centre, as well as see our Archive Monday and What Is It Wednesday posts.

The Champlain Trail Museum page will not be deaccessioned from Facebook (hehe, museum humour). We are going to keep it available so we can all look back on the events that have taken place over the years :)

We will also continue to post updates on the Champlain Trail Museum page during this transition. We don’t want anyone to miss out on what the museum has to offer!

Did you get splashed last week? We sure did on Outdoor Waterpark Day!💦👙👒 With lots of fun games and demos, such as getting an ice cube on a string, sponge relays, melt the ice cube challenge, drip drip drop, water fights, and building our own boats, it was hard for anyone to stay dry!🧊🤽‍♀️🚣‍♀️🧽 After such a fun week last week, and as we enter the final week of camp, the kids are ready to tumble right into Circus day 🤡🎪🎟.

Hi! The Final Fiesta is coming up this Thursday! The day camp will be running Noon- 4pm, lunch will be provided! Parents are welcome to come to this event and please rsvp so we know how many people will be attending :) We are so excited to see everyone there!!

On Thursday nights in the summer, we hold our Evensong Church Services at 7pm in the Micksburg Pioneer Church at the Museum!! Here are a few photos taken this summer at the services, by Pastor Susan DeHaan, from St. Andrew's Church, and Bruce Nienkirchen, from Wesley Community Church. ⛪️🎶🙏

Our last service of the summer is this Thursday August 25th at 7pm, hosted by Neil Lloyd, of St. John's United Church!!
