📸 Palmerston Railway Museum Photo Competition!

We’re excited to introduce our Palmerston Railway Museum Photo Competition, running from September 1st through April 30th!

We want to see the Palmerston Railway Museum through your eyes. Capture your favourite views, details, and moments around the museum and show us what makes this historic site special.

📷 Take photos of:
• The Cook Car
• The Caboose
• The Pedestrian Bridge
• The Railway Tracks
• The Museum

You can submit as many photos as you’d like throughout the competition period. There’s no limit to how many times you can enter!

📧 To enter, email your photos to [email protected]. Please include your name and phone number with your submission.

🏆 The last day to enter is April 30, and a winner will be announced in May. The winner will receive a prize valued at $150!

🚂 Our Seasonal Museum’s Regular 2026 Season, with regular handcar and train rides, has sadly come to an end. (Our Summer students have returned to school.)
🚂 The Museum itself is open today, Sunday August 30/26, from 10 am to 4 pm. and it will be open on Saturday mornings only. matching the hours of the Minto Farmers’ Market, 9:00 to 12:00 pm until Sat. Sept. 26/26.
🚂For a limited time, Mutually-Convenient Times For Tours, co-ordinated with volunteers, can be arranged by calling the municipal government office in Harriston, Monday to Friday (519) 338-2511.

There were many special stories and moments in and around the Museum today. Some visitors had driven a long distance to join us.
🎶🎸Musician Drew Moore substituted for a relative at the last minute today. His music, drifting through the park and the main artists' area, and the Market, was outstanding. 🎵🎸
🧡🖼️ A Very Special Transaction occurred: An artist who had participated in En Plein and who was visiting Drew's tent to compliment him, explained to nearby visitors how she had painted a M.F.M. vendor's produce and kiosk in the last few hours, and it had evolved that she had exchanged her finished painting for some of the vendor's farm-fresh products! 🍅🥒 How Amazing Is That!
