Arts for Peace - Orillia An annual community event held on the shores of Lake Couchiching in Orillia, featuring music, crafts, dance, storytelling, yoga, bubbles and more!

Arts for Peace will return in 2024 after a 5 year hiatus. We look forward to seeing you on June 23, 2024 on the grounds of the Stephen Leacock Museum in Orillia, Ontario. Beginning in 1983, Arts for Peace became an annual staple for families and anyone who wanted to have a good (peaceful) afternoon together. If you're into PEACE and ART (and who isn't really?), then you should come! Every year the

re is a great line-up of performers including musicians, comedians and other peaceful people. You are sure to experience cool crafts and awesome activities. Most people love to dance around the maypole and join in spirit for a dance or two. If you come hungry you will have a selection of food to choose from including the juiciest watermelon this side of Lake Couchiching. Can't you just taste it? It's hard to believe it's been two months since Arts for Peace!

As we've been wrapping up the final pieces behind the scenes, we've been reflecting on what a wonderful day it was.

Thank you to everyone who attended, performed, led a workshop, hosted a community activity, volunteered, or supported the festival in any way. Together, we created a welcoming afternoon filled with creativity, connection, and community.

We're hopeful that Arts for Peace will return next year and have tentatively reserved Sunday, June 13, 2027. We still have a few details to work through before we can confirm the event, but we'll keep you posted!

Until then, thank you for helping keep the spirit of Arts for Peace alive. 💙
