📰 This week in history:
Aug 27, 1926 - The Ranchmen’s Gas and Oil Co. while drilling for water on their site on the Bird farm, at Aldersyde struck a good flow of gas at 200 ft. This is the third flow of gas struck on Mr. Bird’s farm and it is as great as the other two combined. It is wet gas, burning with strong flame and may be taken as very favourable indication of what lies underneath.
