Introduction to Painting with Wayne Moore

Fridays, September 18 – October 16 | 1pm – 4pm

This introductory painting course is designed to provide students with foundation skills for rendering the subject with paint. Topics include: understanding value, the properties of paint, colour mixing & methods of application, develop form and volume through line, tone texture and colour.

Students will choose their own subject matter, create a value painting and a limited colour painting.

Preparation for the first class bring the painting supplies you have, for acrylic painting.

All supplies and tools will be discussed in the first class. Bring a colour photo of subject matter that you may be interested in painting, as well as a black and white copy of the same subject. Bring a small sketchbook and a HP pencil.

Gallery Yoga and Breathwork

Starting Tuesday, September 1 - December 22| 6pm - 7pm

Unwind and reconnect in the peaceful setting of Joshua Farm Gallery. Our weekly yoga sessions offer a gentle, welcoming practice surrounded by art and nature, a perfect mid-week reset.

Classes run Tuesdays from 6pm - 7pm and are suitable for all levels. Whether you're new to yoga or looking to deepen your practice, this hour is designed to help you stretch, breathe, and relax in a calm, inspiring space.

Joshua Farm Gallery is looking for volunteer gallery sitters to help us welcome visitors on Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm - 4pm.
We are looking for a couple volunteers who can commit to a couple shifts a month. It's a great opportunity to support the arts, connect with the community and spend the afternoon in a beautiful gallery setting!

Gel Printing Workshop with Daniela Easter
Tuesday, July 21 | 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm
$60/per person. All materials provided.

This engaging printmaking class introduces students to the world of gel plate printing, offering an
experience in both process art and product art. Students will explore the unique qualities of gel plate
printing, experimenting with texture tools, stencils and acrylic paint to create multi-layered prints. A
special feature will be the opportunity to create ‘landscape’ or ‘seascape’ prints. This lesson plan
provides a fun and rewarding artistic experience for students of all skill levels.

Multidisciplinary artist Wayne Moore is a painter, sculptor, and for over 20 years, a popular instructor. He has been showing and selling his award winning work for 30+ years, and has had numerous solo and group shows in the region.
Wayne’s work is in corporate and private collections in USA, Holland, Japan and Canada.
