Love is Love, opening Saturday, October 17th! Don’t forget to RSVP. This is a highly anticipated event.
Presented in proud collaboration with Gallery Merrick and Mark Loria Gallery, this exhibition celebrates four decades of groundbreaking work by Two-Spirit Plains Cree artist George Littlechild.
Graduating in 1988, George redefined boundaries at a time when Indigenous art was rarely recognized in contemporary fine art spaces. Embracing bold non-traditional palettes, raw mark-making, and mixed-media collages, he pioneered a vital space on the global stage—transforming historical trauma into a “magical rainbow” of healing, beauty, and truth.
This landmark show highlights a vibrant new chapter in George’s practice, defined by freedom, experimentation, and mastery in raw gesture with vibrancy George in known for.
Works will be on display at Ashdale Gallery through November 1st before the exhibition moved on to Victoria to Gallery Merrick
