🎨 Ce mercredi à 13 h, je vous présente un artiste venu de Nice, en France! 🇫🇷

Un artiste qui voyage à travers le monde et qui, en découvrant notre coin de pays, m’a confié quelque chose qui m’a profondément touchée :

« Vous êtes dans un véritable paradis pour les artistes. »

Il a été séduit par la beauté des lieux, la tranquillité, l’absence de bruit… mais surtout par cette lumière exceptionnelle qui donne envie de créer. ✨

Quand un artiste habitué à parcourir le monde pose ce regard sur notre région, on réalise à quel point nous avons quelque chose de précieux entre les mains.

🎨 Vernissage de l'artiste Rhéal McIntyre - «Forêt en Lumière»

Le 28 août prochain, de 19 h à 21 h, la Maison des Arts Belle-Baie vous invite au vernissage de l’exposition de l’artiste Rhéal McIntyre.

L’artiste peintre et sculpteur acadien Rhéal McIntyre puise son inspiration dans deux univers qui l’ont façonné : les paysages marins de son enfance et la forêt boréale qu’il habite aujourd’hui.

Né en 1952 à Charlo, au Nouveau-Brunswick, il découvre les beaux-arts à 8 ans grâce à son frère Edgar. Très jeune, il apprend la menuiserie et, à 12 ans, commence à travailler le bois dans l’atelier familial — une rencontre fondatrice.

Toujours attiré par l’art, il demande au début des années 1990 au peintre montréalais Sacha Barrette de l’initier à la peinture. Cette révélation l’amène à créer 42 tableaux dès sa première année. Il reprend ensuite la sculpture et suit divers cours dans l’Outaouais, tout en restant surtout autodidacte. Avec le temps, il développe ses propres techniques pour exprimer sa vision du monde.

Venez découvrir son univers artistique, rencontrer l’artiste et échanger avec lui dans une ambiance conviviale. Une belle occasion de célébrer la création artistique locale et de partager un moment privilégié avec la communauté.

🎨 Rhéal McIntyre Exhibition Opening - "Forêt en Lumière"

On August 28, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Maison des Arts Belle-Baie invites you to the opening reception of an exhibition by artist Rhéal McIntyre.

Acadian painter and sculptor Rhéal McIntyre draws his inspiration from two worlds that shaped him: the marine landscapes of his childhood and the boreal forest he now inhabits.

Born in 1952 in Charlo, New Brunswick, he discovered fine arts at age eight thanks to his brother Edgar. Early on, he learned carpentry, and at twelve, in his father’s workshop, he began his lifelong relationship with wood.

Always drawn to art, he asked Montreal painter Sacha Barrette in the early 1990s to introduce him to painting. This revelation led him to create 42 works in his first year. He then returned to sculpture and took various courses in the Outaouais, while remaining mostly self‑taught. Over time, he developed his own techniques to express his vision of the world.

Come discover his artistic world, meet the artist, and enjoy an evening of conversation and creativity in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate local art and connect with the community.
