History came full circle at the Niagara Military Museum this week.

The granddaughter of Reginald Cox, a Lewis gunner with the 86th Battalion, CEF, during the Great War, had the chance to hold and heft an original Lewis gun much like the one her grandfather carried in service. (Pictured second from the left.)

We were also delighted to host the Ephemera Club this morning. Thank you for your generous donation to the museum. We greatly appreciate your support and look forward to welcoming you back in the future!

Our Hong Kong exhibit was on display at the Kitchener-Waterloo Philatelic Show, helping to share the story of the Canadian soldiers who fought and endured captivity in Hong Kong during the Second World War.

We are also proud to highlight the work of Dr. Chiu, whose research and writing on the Canadian POWs of Hong Kong have made a significant contribution to preserving their legacy. A copy of his book is available in our library for those wishing to learn more about this remarkable and often overlooked chapter of Canada's military history.

This long-standing Canadian tradition is an opportunity to gather at the start of the New Year, wish one another good fortune, and reaffirm our shared civic heritage. Hosted in cooperation with the Lundy’s Lane Historical Society and the 2nd Lincoln Militia Artillery.
