Your dues go towards helping with the administration of the Association, purchasing gifts for the families of members who pass on and/or have the joy of a new addition to their family, help finance a rep to go to events that the Regiment was involved in, the Melfa dinner, a bursary, website and host, some of the Association's un

iform gear, Groundsheet and the expenses that are included, and a few other things. Each May the Association celebrates the crossing of the Melfa River in Italy on the 24 May 1944; Major Jack Mahony was awarded the Victoria Cross by King George VI. The yearly celebration inculdes a golf tournament, dinner, and the AGM meeting that all members of the Association are encouraged to attended. Our Story

The Royal Westminster Regiment Association was formed after WWII for those members of the Westminster Regiment who served overseas during the war. Membership in the Association is for any member who served the Regiment after WWII and up to the present day. Any present and past member of the Regimental family can join the Association. There are three memberships:

General: for the members of the unit, band, and CIC Officers. Only these members can be a member of the Board of Directors of the Association.

Associate: for the descendants of the members of the Regiment, Cadets, and a member of any other Canadian or Commonwealth Armed Forces.

Honourary: for anyone that has been of an extra ordinary benefit to the Association. There members can only have an annual membership.
