It is with heavy heart that I share Jim Mitchell, second owner of Oxtongue Craft Cabin & Gallery, passed away early this week. He certainly loved owning the shop and meeting so many wonderful customers, as well as representing Canadian artists and artisans who also became friends. Rest in peace, Jim.

Of course I had this much in my car when I nearly blew out a tire. HUGE shout out to Allan and Kevin of North Peel Tire & Auto who saved my hide yesterday. Two dealerships didn't have time to look at it and Orangeville Canadian Tire didn't have time but referred me to the "small shop behind the Esso." I drove there and Kevin dropped everything, took my car for a spin, quickly diagnosed the situation (banding coming off tire) and tried to order a tire but it was already about 3:45pm. Allan got the mighty Tucson up on the hoist, put on my donut and I carefully drove home. They refused to take more than $20. Forever grateful.
