We had fun with our float for the Exhibition. J Frank Willis' original broadcast came through our old radio console. Special thanks to our employees, Rebecca and Julia for their artwork, Ken and Jeff Burrows for the truck, trailer and sound, Calleigh and Riley, the young knitters who joined the float and Tanya McIntyre, who held down the fort at the museum.

The museum will re-open on Monday, July 20th with the regular hours, Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm. Weekends by appointment.

Due to the wildfire in Jacket Lake, the museum will be closed until the fire is under control and it is safe for our employees to return to the area.

The museum is open for the months of July and August. Our hours are Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm. We will open on weekends by appointment. A piece of Nova Scotia history that's well worth the trip.

Thank you to the many, many people who braved the wicked wind to attend the 90th Anniversary of the Cave-in of 1936 and the museum's 40th birthday. The support was overwhelming. It was such a meaningful event.
