Thank you to the many, many people who braved the wicked wind to attend the 90th Anniversary of the Cave-in of 1936 and the museum's 40th birthday. The support was overwhelming. It was such a meaningful event.

Join us to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the Cave-in of 1936 and the 40th birthday for the museum.

It's the 90th Anniversary of the Cave-in and our 40th birthday. We will pay tribute to both occasions on Saturday, April 25th. There will be a ceremony at 2pm with guest speakers, music, food, gold panning demonstrations and more things to come. It will be Volunteer Week and we will be celebrating and remembering the spirit of community and the many people who came together in a time of true hardship in 1936. Mark the date!

We had a visit from the family of George Mitchell from Timmins, Ontario. He was a Draegarman in 1936. He had a camera. This shot has to be a favourite, the men lining up with their newspaper.

We are very saddened for the loss of our good friend and past President, Donald Dillman. Don sat on our executive board for many years, stepping down when he was 90 years old. A consummate volunteer, he and his wife, Barb, gave of their time to many groups and associations in the Musquodoboit Valley and beyond for as long as they still could do it. Always kind and generous, with a twinkle in his eye, Don, you will be missed. Thank you so much!
