I’m very happily surprised….
My tiny little bowls made it on the front page of the Studio Tour guide. 😀

I will have additional maps at my place. With the deadline approaching I managed to clean up the studio for the tour and upcoming workshops. Come and check it out. It would be nice to connect.

Come out and visit Sabine Arends at Fireworx Glass Studio Fireworx Glass Studio. Sabine is participating in the 2025 Central Island Arts Guide/Tour happening November 22-23, 2025!

Sabine Arends is a Vancouver Island–based glass artist and founder of Fireworx Glass Studio. Born in Germany, she has explored mosaics, fused glass, and photography throughout her life. Her work now focuses on bold, nature-inspired statement pieces, often incorporating dichroic glass for sparkle and depth. Sabine also teaches workshops, connecting art, craft, and creative minds while sharing her passion for environmental stewardship.

Join Sabine Arends for a 30-minute beginner-friendly glass fusing demo! Watch as she cuts, designs, and prepares a piece for the kiln, followed by time for questions and creative conversation. This amazing demo will take place on Saturday, November 22, at 11 AM.

The Central Island Studio Tour is the largest regional studio tour highlighting talented artists in our area. Explore open studios, meet artists, and celebrate the arts on November 22nd & 23rd, 2025, 10 am to 4 p.m. The event is self-guided (choose your own adventure!) and totally free and family friendly.

I can only remember the tour happening in the Spring before - correct me if I'm wrong.
