An art gallery with attitude. This great space is located wthin an old Simmons mattress factory that has been converted into artist's lofts. The art gallery is also connected to the vibrant Café Tonique another charming hang out in the building. This gem of a restored industrial building is owned and operated by Gestion Immobilière Quo Vadis and located minutes from the Atwater Market. 3 saisons de «Death, Roots and Rebirth #2» de ma série «Oracle» !!

Dans cette toile, j’ai voulu représenter ce moment souterrain où tout semble en dormance, mais où l’énergie circule déjà en profondeur. On y retrouve une chaleur contenue, comme un foyer enfoui ou un nid incandescent qui prépare sa propre émergence. C’est une toile qui parle de cycles, de naissance lente, et de la force qui grandit avant d’avoir trouvé son chemin vers la lumière.

Last year’s collaboration with the talented . ✨

I decided to try my hand at sculpting a bird skull, drawing inspiration from the silhouette of a crow. The oversized eye sockets provided the perfect canvas for Wendy to weave in her signature flora.

So happy with how this symbiotic skull came to life. 🌿💀

In the Configuration series, I explore the mental shortcuts we take when faced with a void.

We instinctively assume that a line continues linearly from one panel to the next, much like we project known laws onto the unknown.

My fascination with physics has always pushed me to look beyond these appearances. I want to highlight these automatic assumptions and invite a reflection on the invisible realities that escape our immediate perception.

Dans la série Configuration, j’explore les raccourcis mentaux que nous prenons face au vide.

Nous supposons instinctivement qu’une ligne continue de manière linéaire d’un panneau à l’autre, un peu comme nous projetons des lois connues sur l’inconnu.

Ma fascination pour la physique m’a toujours poussée à regarder au-delà de ces évidences. Je veux mettre en lumière ces présomptions automatiques et inviter à une réflexion sur les réalités invisibles qui échappent à notre perception immédiate.

Just like today but in 1972. Fifty-four years ago the Ukrainian-Canadian painter William Kurelek captured the aftermath of a snow storm—like the one that just landed in Toronto—on the street where he lived in Toronto’s Beaches neighbourhood.

🎨 Born in 1927, Kurelek was the son of an immigrant Ukrainian and his Canadian-born wife. He grew up in Alberta and Manitoba before moving to Toronto where he studied at the Ontario College of Art in Toronto. In 1976, Kurelek was made a Member of the Order of Canada for his enduring contribution to Canadian art.
