Found its home 🔴

It’s funny how these things go.
I had just said I was surprised this one was still here,it’s always been a favourite of mine.
And just like that… it found its home.

Big thank you to Holly for making it happen.
Feels like summer’s waking up again.

I don’t fully understand how this one is still available.
But give it a minute ... spring tends to move things along.

Available through the stunning
Bison don’t run from the storm they walk straight into it.
That kind of stubborn, grounded strength?
Yeah... I’m drawn to that every time.
This one might be one I regret letting go.
If it’s speaking to you, the gallery has all the details.

I’ve been busy.
Always busy.
Exactly how I like it.

Which one would you live with?

Where Antlers Dream
42 x 42 moose

I don’t know what it is about them…
awkward, massive, kind of strange.

But I keep coming back.
And honestly, that’s gold as an artist
to find something you can explore over and over
and never get tired of.

I don’t always post my sold work… but I should.

The pieces are moving, and I’m incredibly grateful for that.
I’ll be sharing a few over the next couple days.

I’ve always felt like being an artist and being a professional artist are two very different things.
One is about expression… the other has to sustain a life.

But for me, one can’t come at the expense of the other.

I won’t simplify the work just to produce more of it.
The detail, the layers, the patterns… that’s the whole point.

This piece is a perfect example of that.
Full of detail, full of movement… very me.

That balance is everything.

This fox found a home.

Little snippet of life in the studio on this sunny Friday morning…

It’s kind of beautiful when you think about it.

This idea of falling apart, being set aside, almost forgotten
and then all it takes is a little care, a little attention… and something starts again.

Maybe that’s why I’m so drawn to them

All these plants in my studio, every single one of them, had a moment where they were written off. And now look at them
growing, steady, doing their thing like nothing ever happened.

There’s something in that.

Maybe a little more personal than I realized.

All I know is this
plants and flowers don’t just make me happy… it’s a bit deeper for me.
Maybe I should speak to someone about that 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

“Hey Mom, relax. It’s Saturday morning.”

What they don’t get is this is my version of relaxing.

Since I was a kid, up at the crack of dawn, cartoons on, fully locked into some chaotic mix of glue, markers, and whatever I could get my hands on, this has always been it for me.

Creating isn’t work. It’s where everything makes sense.

So here I am, coffee in hand, doodling away, same as always.

Happy place. Always has been.
