Well, good morning.

Nothing like a couple of very large, very colourful bears to get the week started.

I mean… subtle has never really been my thing.

Both pieces are currently available through Galerie d’art Au P’tit Bonheur . You can view them in detail and find more information directly on the gallery’s website.

Good morning on this beautiful Saturday

Another one that found its home this summer. This big beautiful 48 × 48 fox sold in Jasper, and I couldn’t help but share the little video I received from the gallery when it happened. I thought it was such a fun way to celebrate the sale with me.

And with A Little Help From My Friends playing, it feels like the perfect time to say this…

Every artist has their own journey, but for me, having really good gallery representation has made such a difference. I’ve been pretty careful about who I choose to represent my work, and I’m incredibly grateful for the relationships I have today. Having people out there who understand the work, believe in it, and know how to find homes for it allows me to do what I do best:

Stay in my studio and make more art.

So thank you, Mountain Galleries in Jasper , for being part of this wild ride.

And I’ll be seeing you in October.

With a little help from my friends, indeed.

Another one from the summer studio
SOLD 🔴

This fox was one of those pieces that kind of figured itself out.

I always start with my backgrounds, and funny enough, what became the sky was actually supposed to be the ground.

But when I stepped back and looked at it, I loved it. It felt weird and contemporary and completely unexpected. So I flipped the canvas around and just went with it.

I really never know exactly where these paintings are going. Sometimes I have a plan. Sometimes the painting basically reminds me to get out of my own way.

I loved this palette, especially that big hit of red.

This beauty found its home this summer, but I’ve still got lots more from the summer studio to show you over the next few days.

And as always, if you see something that makes you curious, or you’re wondering about a piece similar to this one, message me. I genuinely love talking about the work. You can also visit Galerie d’art Au P’tit Bonheur directly to check out the collection of paintings they have available presently.

More tomorrow.
Oh and it’s still Lake Ontario 😛

Well Apparently ( that little red head from the state fair lol )
I spent the summer making a slightly unhinged amount of art and forgot to show you most of it.

So over the next little while, I’m going to start sharing some of the pieces that came out of the studio.

First up. This guy.

Gentle, confident and a little wild… basically all my favourite things in one place.

And this 24x24 has already found a home. 🔴

One down. A small mountain of paintings to go.

Brace yourselves. It’s going to be colourful

THE LONG WAY HOME
24x24 , gallery style canvas

A little side note for those of you who were curious about this piece: I rarely make work this size, 24 × 24, but I dropped off four little ones at La Galerie du Petit Bonheur. Two have already found homes, and there are two left.

So if you’ve got a soft spot for the little guys, head over to the gallery and see what’s still hanging around.

“What Mothers Do “

Here’s another one that’s recently come out of the studio.

I don’t often paint two main subjects, but I really wanted to explore the relationship between a mother and her cub. It’s just something I connect with. That instinct to protect, to guide, and to always be looking out for your kids… I think it’s something a lot of us can relate to.

And yes… I definitely didn’t hold back on the colour. Those pops of chartreuse make me so happy. It’s one of my favourite colours, and I love what it does against all those earthy browns.

This one measures 36 × 60 inches, and I’m really happy with how it came together.

As I mentioned, I’m going to spend the next little while catching you up on what’s been happening in the studio over the past few weeks!

As I shared yesterday, this whale was one of the latest pieces to come out of the studio. It was my very first attempt at painting a whale, and I honestly had so much fun with it. Safe to say, it won’t be my last.

I’m also really happy to share that it was quickly collected. Congratulations to its new owner. I hope you love it as much as I loved creating it.

And as always, if you ever have questions about a piece, where to find my work, or you’re interested in adding one to your own collection, don’t hesitate to send me a message here on Instagram. I genuinely love connecting with you all

Have a wonderful Monday! 🤘

It’s funny how these things go.
I had just said I was surprised this one was still here,it’s always been a favourite of mine.
And just like that… it found its home.

Big thank you to Holly for making it happen.
