Miramichi Heritage Network The Miramichi River connects many fascinating and history-rich communities, each with its own story to tell.

Embark on a Road Trip through time to the various heritage sites that make up the Miramichi Heritage Network.

The Miramichi Heritage Network's goal is to promote the region’s unique history through increasing awareness of its heritage spaces and sites, both physically and virtually. In the past five years, our Network has undergone a transformation from a small group of like-minded operators into an interconnected organization, working to promote the region and the many stories we have to tell. We have pioneered a character-based tourism initiative, united several member sites within Northumberland County, developed collective marketing strategies and cost-sharing initiatives, and have showcased our unique and fascinating history and roots for the general public to enjoy. Together we share in the principles of preservation, education and interpretation of artifacts and historical recounts that define our past. From Miꞌkmaq, to Acadians, to Irish, to Scottish and many descendants in between - Miramichi is rich with culture and heritage - so come along for the journey and let us tell you our stories.
