Join us on Friday, September 4 at 1:00 PM for a free screening of Lilo & Stitch (2025) at the Minden Hills Cultural Centre, presented in collaboration with the Haliburton County Public Library.

🍿 Light refreshments will be provided, and you’re welcome to bring your own snacks.

Please note that Lilo & Stitch (2025) replaces the previously scheduled screening of Toy Story 5 (2026).

The Heritage Passport Program has officially wrapped up for the year! πŸŽ‰ If you’ve collected enough stamps to qualify for a prize or you’re ready to enter the draw for our grand prize, please bring your passport to the Minden Hills Cultural Centre. We are open Tuesday to Saturday, 10 am - 4 pm.

πŸ‘‹ Starting this week, our drop-in programs will take place only on Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00 AM to noon. These drop-in programs run until Saturday, October 10.

🍁 The Minden Hills Museum & Heritage Village and Nature’s Place are still open Tuesday - Saturday from 10 am - 4 pm, but they will close for the season on October 10 as well..

There's still time to join us! Our children's drop-in programs continue this week from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM with hands-on activities inspired by art, heritage, and nature. It's also your last chance to collect Heritage Passport stamps before the program wraps up for the season and to be entered into the grand prize draw, with winners announced in early September.

🧈 August 25 – Butter in a Jar: Experience early dairy traditions.
πŸ‘š August 26 – Tie Dye: Twist, tie, and dye fabric to create vibrant patterns. (Bring your own plain white T-shirt.)
β€πŸ” August 27 – Portable Memories Showcase: Explore artifacts and photographs from Minden Hills' past, with a different heritage theme featured at each showcase.
🍎 August 28 – Apple Tree Identification Project program: Join the Coordinator from the Apple Tree Identification Project (ATIP) and discover the heritage apple trees found throughout the county

A quick glimpse of As the Shoreline Disappears, a stunning new exhibition by glass artist .studio, exploring themes of loss in the natural world and in memories affected by Alzheimer’s.

Meet the artist at our upcoming panel discussion on August 20 at 1:00 pm. The discussion will also include local author Fay Martin (Dementia Widow) and Registered Expressive Arts Practitioner Fay Wikinson.

As the Shoreline Disappears is on display now at the Agnes Jamieson Gallery until September 19. The Gallery is open Tuesday - Saturday, 10 am - 4 pm. Admission is by donation.
