MINDEMOYA HAUNTED TRAIL: GOING TO THE MOVIES

This Halloween, the movies are coming to life in Mindemoya… and not everything on the screen is staying there.

Join us Friday, October 30th, 2026 at the Pioneer Museum Grounds for this year’s Mindemoya Haunted Trail, featuring Halloween-themed scenes and characters inspired by movies and television.

Make your way through the woods as familiar sights from the big and small screen take a darker turn. Around every corner, another scene awaits. Some may make you laugh. Some may make you scream. And some might have you wondering whether you should have stayed home and watched the movie instead.

Friday, October 30th, 2026
6:00 PM – 9:30 PM
Pioneer Museum Grounds
2207 Hwy 551, Mindemoya

6:00 PM – 7:00 PM is more suitable for younger participants.

Please note: The Haunted Trail will take a short break from 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM to give our volunteers a well-earned break. There will be no reservations during this time.

If there is enough interest, we will add an additional 9:30 PM – 10:00 PM time slot.

Admission is $5.00 cash per person at the gate.

Walk-ins are also welcome between reservations.

Presented by the Central Manitoulin Lions Club, with proceeds benefiting the Central Manitoulin Historical Society.

Welcome Back to Throwback Thursday!

Today we're looking back to 1995 when founding members of the Central Manitoulin Historical Society Doug Lanktree, Burt Cooper, Harve Haner, Shirley Cooper, Marion Elliott, and Wilda Campbell moved the log cabin to the Mindemoya Pioneer Museum.

The Central Manitoulin Poppy Project is returning for 2026! If you knit or crochet you can participate by making a handmade poppy that will be added to a garland. These garlands will be strewn across the municipality! Patterns will be posted in the comments ⬇️
