Community Information & Organizational Meeting

The historic CN Station has been part of Vermilion's history for more than a century. Now it's time to explore what its future could look like.

If you'd like to be part of preserving this important landmark, we invite you to attend the organizational meeting for the proposed Vermilion CN Station Preservation Society.

We'll share our vision and talk about how we can work with the Town of Vermilion and the Government of Alberta to support the preservation and restoration of the station.

This is an opportunity to ask questions, share ideas, and become one of our founding members. Whether you have experience in heritage, fundraising, construction, governance, or simply care about preserving a piece of Vermilion's history, everyone is welcome.

🎭 Calling All Theatre Treasures! 🎭

One of the exciting new additions to Haying in the 30s this year is an old-fashioned theatre building!

We’re looking for any vintage theatre-related items that could help bring it to life, such as:

🎬 Old movie posters
🎭 Theatre props
🍿 Vintage concession items
🎟️ Ticket stubs or ticket booths
🎥 Film reels or projector equipment
🪑 Old theatre seats
🎺 Stage décor, costumes, or backdrops
✨ Anything else with that classic theatre charm!

If you have something tucked away in a basement, garage, barn, or attic that you’d be willing to donate, we’d love to hear from you.

Great day at our Open House today. Thanks to Terry Butz for carrying our display in the parade, the people that visited our museum, and the volunteers and supporters who worked very hard to make this day happen.
