Brass Buffalo Trading Post

Please join us on Thursday
RSVP encouraged

We are honoured to invite you to a very special evening at The Brass Buffalo Trading Post. 🦬❤️

On October 15, in collaboration with Stardale, we will gather for The Road — An Evening of Storytelling, Cultural Teaching & Conversation.

This evening is about creating space for conversations that are not always easy, but are incredibly important — the realities facing Indigenous women and girls, MMIWG, violence, residential schools and the intergenerational impacts that continue to be carried by families and communities today.

We will hear from young women featured in The Road, playwright Eugene Strickland, Elders, the Stardale Drummers, and Sherry Elliott of the Calgary Police Service Indigenous Unit, along with a screening of The Road.

For me, Brass Buffalo has always been about more than what we sell. I want this little place in Longview to be somewhere people can gather, listen, learn, share stories and build understanding between one another. This evening is very much part of that vision.

There will be a reception following the program, and we hope you will stay, visit and continue the conversation.

Please join us today at the Brass Buffalo as we come together to honour the children who never made it home from residential schools, the Survivors, and the families and generations who continue to carry their stories.

We are honoured to welcome our Stoney Nakoda friends from Eden Valley, who will be sharing their songs, stories and teachings with us.

Today is about truth, listening, sharing knowledge, and coming together on these shared lands as we continue building understanding and reconciliation together.

🧡 Everyone is welcome
