I was super excited to get this Wilson Art drawing in the shop to custom frame for him. And to meet Andrew Wilson the artist in person was a real treat!

Mounted with a white with orange coloured core matting, balanced out with this wood stained frame that injects and balances the pop of colour while adding the richness and character of wood with its open grain pattern. Finished with Museum anti reflective glass for optimal clarity and protection.

Before & After of these landscape paintings on board, framed in authentic barnwood. Each stick of this moulding has a natural variance of grain and knots making each piece truly unique. Because the painting substrates are paper based and is susceptible to moisture and disintegration, acrylic spacers with UV Museum glass was used to protect from both light and environmental damage. As a professional frame shop, conservation and preventative care is the utmost important using methods and materials designed to not only make an appealing frame design but to preserve and protect pieces from future harm.

Before & After of this painting on canvas. We chose a black linen liner and this deep reverse swan profile frame that features soft metal patinas, creating contrasts and interesting plays of shadow and light. The finish is somewhat reminiscent of Venetian plaster or fresco where, depending on the light, can cast a different colour and creates a transitional yet dynamic pairing with the artwork.
