Between 1962 and 1964 a CN/CP communication tower was constructed on the top of Pyramid Mountain. About 20 feet was blasted off the top of the mountain and 30 men worked on the project. A huge THANK YOU to all who helped and attended the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour that we hosted at the Jasper Activity Centre a few weeks back. A sold out crowd was entertained by some incredible adventure films at the Friday night show and we will be hosting this awesome event again in Spring 2027!

The JYHS Board is looking for a new secretary to join the team. Duties include taking the minutes at bimonthly meetings, record keeping, assisting with events and being part of the executive. Happy Fall to all!
In connection to the Dark Sky Festival we have a stunning new immersive exhibit on now in our Showcase Gallery - Parallel Universes is brought to us by artists Sylvie Pinard and Amy Sallenbach who invite viewers to embark on a reflective journey through their unique artistic realms. This exhibit encourages contemplation of balance, represented through circular and spherical forms.
