Our regular museum gates might be closed for the season, but we aren't going anywhere! You’ll catch us at a few local community events over the next few months, starting with the Monster Mash hosted by !

Join us for a festive day of holiday magic and pioneer charm at Pioneer Acres! Bring the whole family out for a cozy winter celebration packed with fun activities for all ages.

Date: Saturday, November 7, 2026
Time: 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Location: Pioneer Acres of Alberta, Irricana, AB
Admission: $10.00 per person (Children 3 & under are FREE!)

Things to See & Do: • Outdoor Fun: Wagon rides all day, a wiener & marshmallow roast (11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, while supplies last), and hot cocoa to keep you warm!

• Indoor Activities: Browse our Christmas Craft Sale, Children's Small Gift Sale, Christmas Cookie Sale, and let the kids make a craft to take home!

• Family Memories: Countless photo opportunities around the historic grounds, including the iconic Long House!

SEASON UPDATE: SWITCHING TO WINTER HOURS 🍁❄️🚜

As autumn settles in, Pioneer Acres is officially transitioning from our regular summer schedule to our Winter Hours!

Starting now, our grounds and exhibits will be open BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
While our daily open-gate hours are wrapping up, we are still delighted to host tours, researchers, and visitors by advance booking!

As we gather with family and friends this Thanksgiving weekend, everyone at Pioneer Acres is reflecting on just how much we have to be thankful for.

IT’S A GO THIS SATURDAY! 🚜💨🏁🍁

Clear your Saturday plans before turkey day—the Pioneer Acres Fall Tractor Pull is OFFICIALLY HAPPENING on October 10th!
Come out to watch the dirt fly, cheer on vintage heavy iron, and enjoy a fantastic fall day on the grounds! Spectators are welcome!

Quick Info:
🗓️ Saturday, October 10th (Reg @ 9 AM | Pulls @ 10 AM)
🍔 Onsite Concession OPEN: Serving burgers, hot dogs, popcorn, ice cream & drinks!
🎟️ Puller Entry: $20 for unlimited tractors
🏆 Prizes awarded right after the pulls!
