Start Your Engines: The 2026 Summer Tractor Pull is Here!
Dust off the iron and get ready for two days of horsepower and heritage! Pioneer Acres is thrilled to invite you to our annual Summer Tractor Pull this July. Whether you’re a seasoned puller or a fan of vintage machinery, this is the weekend you’ve been waiting for.

📅 Event Details
When: Saturday, July 18th & Sunday, July 19th, 2026

Where: Pioneer Acres Museum, Irricana, AB

Cost: $20 Entry for Pullers (Unlimited Tractors!)

Food: Concession available on site! 🍔🥤

Bonus: FREE Dry Camping available all weekend long!

🚜 The Pulling Schedule & Rules
Saturday, July 18th: Day 1 Pulls
Registration: 9:00 am

Pulls Start: 10:00 am

Classes: 2 Full Pulls – Featherweight to Class 6.

What’s New: We’ve added a second division that now includes tractors up to 1965!

Sunday, July 19th: Day 2 Pulls & Prizes
Pulls Start: 10:00 am

Competition Format: No relaxed "fun pulls" here—this is an official, actual pull day!

Awards: Your best time from either day will count toward prizes. Stick around after Sunday's pulls for the final prize presentations!

Bring your tractors, your friends, and your competitive spirit. Let’s keep the 2026 season rolling with a roar!

🚜 Big Wins and Big Hearts at Beiseker Sports Day!
What a fantastic weekend at Beiseker Sports Day! We have some incredible news and a couple of massive shoutouts to share with our community.

🏆 First Place Honors!
First up, a huge congratulations to Walter, who took home 1st Place in the parade with the depression truck! It looked absolutely fantastic out there, and we couldn't be prouder. Whoop whoop! 🎉

❤️ Community Spirit in Action
We also want to extend a deeply heartfelt thank you to Tom Christensen and his son, Brendan. These two wonderful folks generously volunteer their time to provide wagon rides and pull wagons in the parade.
Instead of accepting payment for their hard work, Tom and Brendan asked that the Beiseker Chamber of Commerce make a donation on their behalf directly to us. We are incredibly grateful for their selflessness and for the Chamber's generous support!

Heavy Horses, Big Hearts, and High Stakes! 🐴

The count down is officially ON! We are just one week away from one of the most thrilling, tradition-packed events of the year at Pioneer Acres: The Annual Chore Horse Competition!

There is nothing quite like watching these magnificent heavy horses flex their muscle, precision, and incredible teamwork with their teamsters. From navigating tight obstacles to showcasing the vital skills that literally built our prairies, it’s a breathtaking display of raw power and gentle guidance.

📣 Come Fill the Stands!
These incredible teams train hard, and they perform best when the crowd is roaring! We want to see those bleachers packed to the brim. Bring your family, bring your friends, grab a modern-day snack, and come cheer on old-school horsepower.

🚜 Join us for the 56th Annual Pioneer Acres Show! 🌾

Get ready for an incredible weekend of history, history-making, and family fun at Alberta’s Pioneer Steam Power Festival, in partnership with the Heritage Boilers Association (Alberta)!

📅 When: August 7, 8, and 9, 2026
⏰ Hours: Gates open at 7:30 AM | Demonstrations begin at 9:00 AM
📍 Where: Pioneer Acres Museum (North of Irricana)

🌟 Event Highlights:
Guinness Book of World Records Feature: Come and meet Beef, the world's tallest steer standing at a massive 6’5” (Saturday & Sunday only)!
Daily Parades: Kicking off at 12:15 PM.
Tractor Pulls: Catch the action from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM.

Live Demos: Blacksmiths, wheelwrights, Steele Scouts Troupe, plus live horse-drawn and steam-powered field work & threshing.
And More: Explore the Grain Academy model train display, exhibits, a bake sale, and the Pioneer Market!

Skip cooking—we've got you covered!
A full concession and food trucks will be available on-site!
Start your morning right with our Daily Pancake Breakfast.
