Join us on June 21st as we honour and celebrate the rich cultures and contributions of Indigenous Peoples and the unique relationship between the Gaels and the L’nu that has been in our region for generations.

The day will begin with a prayer followed by demonstrations, traditional foods, and a community gathering with many of our friends in Eskasoni.

All are welcome to take part in this meaningful day of reflection, learning, and connection.

There will be free admission for all on June 21st.

SAVE THE DATE CAPE BRETON!

Join us August 1st for the 65th Annual Highland Village Day Concert, one of Cape Breton’s most cherished summer traditions. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Bras d’Or Lake, this afternoon celebration features exceptional musicians, dancers, and tradition bearers from across Nova Scotia.

As one of Cape Breton’s original Outdoor Scotch Concerts, Highland Village Day has welcomed generations of visitors and community members to gather, connect, and celebrate.

In 2025, more than 1,500 people gathered on the hillside for an unforgettable afternoon of music, storytelling, and celebration.
So bring a lawn chair, gather your family and friends, and experience an afternoon of music, culture, and Cape Breton hospitality as we celebrate 65 years of Highland Village Day, one of Cape Breton's most beloved outdoor ceilidh's.
