🚂 Big Progress on Our CPR Display!
Today was an exciting day at the Indian Head Museum!
With the help of the Town of Indian Head crew, and thanks to Liam, who expertly cut the axle and hitch off the trailer, we’ve reached another major milestone in transforming this trailer into our future Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) display.
The trailer has now been lowered onto pads and, over the next week, we’ll be levelling it into its permanent position. After that, the real transformation begins:
🔨 Gutting the interior
⚡ Reconnecting the electrical service
🚂 Building our new CPR exhibit
A huge thank you to the Town of Indian Head for lending their equipment, expertise, and support. Community partnerships like this make projects such as ours possible!
We’d love your help, too!
We’re looking for volunteers who would like to lend a hand with the renovation. Whether you have construction skills, electrical experience, or simply want to help out, we’d love to hear from you.
And while we’re preserving railway history, we’re also looking to preserve your stories. Did you, your parents, or your grandparents work on the railway or have memories of life around the CPR in Indian Head? We’d love to record those stories and include them as part of this exciting exhibit.
Please leave a comment below, send us a message, or stop by the museum.
Together, we’re preserving Indian Head’s railway heritage—one story and one project at a time. 🚂❤️
