Visit the museum and immerse yourself in Alberta’s agricultural & automotive history!

In 2013 the Society opened the first Museum building to commemorate the history of agriculture, transportation & oil development in the High River area. This is the dream of Al Millard, a long time High River local. The Museum is located in High River, Alberta at the Ag Society Rodeo Grounds. There you will visit a large collection of farm tractors and farm equipment of the early years. The Museum

is based on the history of the influence Ford & the Oil companies had on the agricultural way of life from the early 1900's to the 1960's and beyond. The Museum has one of the largest & best quality collections of lifting jacks, oil related advertising & unusual Ford products to be found anywhere. Also, Model T cars & trucks, oil & gas signs and related memorabilia, toys, jacks, cameras, coca cola memorabilia and many more antiques and collectibles.

🚜🎶 Meet the little tractor that helped change farming history…

Our latest music video celebrates the legendary 1958 Fordson Dexta, now proudly on display at the Call of the West Museum!

Built in England and powered by a hardworking Perkins diesel engine, the Fordson Dexta became famous for being small, nimble, fuel efficient, and incredibly dependable on farms across the world — including right here in Alberta.

Now this prairie workhorse has inspired its very own classic country song: “Little Dexta Blues” 🎵

Watch the video, enjoy the music, and discover how this compact tractor earned a big place in agricultural history.

🚗✨ What Galaxie Am I? ✨🚗

She arrived in pieces from an auction just a few short years ago… and today she stands proudly on display at the Call of the West Museum.

Now she’s the star of our brand-new music video: “What Galaxie Am I?” 🎶

Watch the video, enjoy the song, and discover the story behind one of the most exciting classic cars in our collection.

A huge thank you to the team who helped make this restoration possible:

🎄 Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from the Call of the West Museum! 🤠
This holiday season, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to all our wonderful patrons, visitors, volunteers, donors, and supporters — and a special appreciation to Dee, our pioneer barber — for helping keep High River’s history alive.
To celebrate, we’ve created a little classic country Christmas song inspired by the tractors, vintage cars, rodeo grounds, and proud Foothills heritage that make our museum so special. We hope it brings a smile, a bit of nostalgia, and a lot of holiday cheer.
Thank you for being part of our museum family. Here’s to another year of stories, community, and keeping the spirit of the West alive.
🎶 Please enjoy — and feel free to share!
