Westfield Heritage Village Conservation Area is both a living history museum and a conservation area. The buildings are nestled against the backdrop of 204 hectares of conservation land that features woodlands, meadows and trails. Visitors may enjoy hikes and walks 7 days a week. Throughout the year there are opportunities to see our volunteer interpreters provide demonstration and guided tours. C

What’s starting to sprout in the gardens at Westfield Heritage Village? 🌱

Visit the Village on Sunday from 12PM - 4PM to learn about native plants that have been reintroduced to the property and the important role they play in the landscape.

Kids can also pick up a Westfield Nature Journal and explore the Anniversary Garden through fun hands-on activities.

Westfield’s Dairy Delicious returns with Milk and Honey!

Join us August 2 & 3 from 10 AM to 4 PM for a family-friendly celebration of Ontario's dairy and honey heritage.

🐄 Milking demonstrations and a chance to try it yourself
🐝 Bee box demonstrations (no live bees on-site)
🎲 Bee and milk trivia, games, and Victorian carnival activities
🎨 Crafts and hands-on activities for all ages
🍞 Historic baking demonstrations
🏡 Interactive experiences throughout the Village

We're also excited to welcome Summit Station Dairy & Creamery, who will have fresh milk available for purchase near the General Store.

Happy International Trails Day 🌿

Did you know Westfield Heritage Village features more than just history? Spanning approximately 204 hectares (503 acres), the conservation area is home to natural woodlands, plantation forests, provincially significant wetlands, meadow areas, and several well-marked recreational trails.

From the Giant Swallowtail Trail to the Sugar Shack Trail, there are plenty of ways to explore the landscape, connect with nature, and experience the beauty surrounding the Village 👣

Watch our volunteers work their magic as they dress mannequins in period clothing from Westfield’s collection! 👗👔👠

Clothing can tell us a lot about life in the past, from social status and occupation to how fashion changed over 200 years of early Canadian history.

Join us this Sunday for a special fashion show featuring period clothing from Westfield’s collection and handmade garments created by our talented volunteers.

‼️Guess what?! We've added a new Talking Forest experience, featuring our historic buildings.

This new experience will guide visitors through the village, automatically activating audio stories, images, and captions using GPS that tell the stories of Westfield’s historic buildings. Visitors can still enjoy the existing tour experience that features Westfield’s trails.
