Before It Was Red: The Story of Redfish House 🏠🎨

Did you know that the Redfish House Museum wasn’t always red? Before it became the landmark we know and can still see today, this historic building had a different appearance.

The house, built circa 1885, has seen many changes over the years, much like our harbor. This Fishhouse served as our community museum, established 1997 before we moved to the Schoolhouse.

Another landmark in this picture is the Lighthouse! The lighthouse pictured here was built in 1911, although not the first in its place, by Captain Dewis.

Visit us to learn more about the transformation of Redfish House and the Lighthouse!
